Southern Vancouver Island Camping

Camping On Southern Vancouver Island

Southern Vancouver Island is the most populated zone and has more private campgrounds than free ones. Due to my intolerance of heavy traffic I will be tackling this zone last so be patient with me or provide me with some free campgrounds to check out.

As of 2023 BC Stats estimated a population for this zone to be 553,514k. The largest cities are Duncan, Ladysmith, Lake Cowichan, Port Renfrew, Sidney, Sooke and Victoria.

The southern zone of Vancouver Island has 3 Regional Districts. They are: Capital Regional District, Cowichan Valley Regional District and the Nanaimo Regional District.
